Danica Komine

Danica Komine is a three star JohnnyG/Madd Dog certified Spinning instructor, AFAA certified group fitness instructor, certified BODYPUMP instructor and lover of all things fitness. At 18, Danica’s fitness career began when, while working at the snack bar of a spa, she was invited to attend an “aerobics convention,” where she became step certified. For 25 years, Danica has enjoyed every minute of her fitness teaching career.
Danica is a native of Columbus and graduate of OSU. After living in Guanajuato, Mexico, she returned to central Ohio in 2015. She has five children: two in high school, two in middle school and one in elementary school. When she is not teaching BODYPUMP or Spinning, she is running her kids to soccer, piano, dance and gymnastics. She likes to relax, read, talk on the phone and go out to eat at foreign-restaurants with her wonderful husband Mitch.

Jennifer Van Hoose

Jen tried her first BodyPump class in February 2007, and was a fast fan.
She found it easy to follow, inclusive & non-intimidating.
She enjoyed the motivating music & the team atmosphere, and looked forward to returning to class. 6 months later, she had lost 30 lbs & was feeling so much more energy in her daily life. In 2009, Jen became a group fitness instructor after training in her favorite Les Mills format, BodyCombat. She wanted to encourage & inspire others in their fitness & wellness journey, through her passion for this program. In 2014, Jen finally became BodyPump certified. She’s also ACE Group Fitness certified & has trained in various other formats.
Jen believes fitness is for everyone, and is meant to be a fun celebration & appreciation of our body, mind & spirit.
Jen is a yoga enthusiast & enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, stand up paddle boarding & obstacle course racing.
Jen’s most cherished part of her group fitness journey, are the friendships she has made along the way.

Leslie Yoakam

Leslie pursued athletics growing up and continued her athletic career during her time at Clemson University as a competitive gymnast and varsity cheerleader. After college, Leslie placed third in the National Reebok Aerobic Competition in 1990 and was featured on the cover of Shape Magazine in 1992.
 

After having children Leslie began to feel the need of balance in her life after years of high intensity workouts. She was certified to teach spinning through Mad Dog Certification and started her yoga journey. She began studying under Bryan Kest and attended national and international teacher trainings.

 

Leslie has learned through her training with Bryan Kest that a Harvard Study found that 90% of our thoughts are the same day to day and yoga is a great way to change the patterns of our thinking, there is nothing better than a quiet and serene mind. Leslie loves spinning because it is a high intensity and low impact workout. She has found that teaching spinning can bring out the cheerleader in herself with high energy and fun music.

BODYPUMP™ 45 is a 45 minute  barbell workout for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast.

Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP45 gives you a total body workout. It will burn up to 540 calories*. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own! You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more.
