Laura first discovered yoga in 1995 at the tender age of 15, and it was love at first forward bend! Having graduated from The Ohio State University in 2007 with a degree in Psychology, she is fascinated by the connection between the mind and the body, and to helping her students find and maintain a balance between the two, both on and off the mat.
Laura is a 200 Hour RYT through Yoga on High’s Teacher Training Institute, with a specialization in Ashtanga Yoga, and is excited to integrate her love of Ashtanga, an invigorating breath based flow practice, into her classes. She truly believes that yoga can be tailored to meet the needs of people of all ages and fitness levels, and imbues her classes with a mix of playful energy and mindfulness. Off the mat, Laura is a former professional yacht chef who loves to eat foods from all over the world, a seasoned traveler, an avid reader, lover of movies and music of all genres, and an occasional pianist.
